Latvian sensation, Dāvis Bertāns gained some attention after refusing to participate in the NBA bubble in Orlando. With free agency looming for the power forward, many naturally concluded this was a calculated move on his part to preserve his value and maximize on his next contract. If that was indeed his plan, it was likely a shrewd move for Bertāns who enjoyed a breakout year in his sole season as a Washington Wizard. With the Wizards having his Bird rights, it is impossible to rule them out as a possibility of keeping Bertāns. That being said, the Suns would make a good match as they look to round out their roster and finally start taking advantage of Devin Booker’s potential.
