The argument for Heat is fairly straightforward. With a run that surprised most, going all the way to the NBA Finals, and a mostly young core, they figure to get better without needing to make any moves this offseason. And they may get a bit better with a roster tweak or two if they choose to. Key pieces – Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, and Tyler Herro – all figure to get better. Jimmy Butler is not likely to take any leaps forward, but as one of the hardest working players in the game he is still mostly in his prime. This is still to speak nothing of their excellent culture and coaching continuity. The Heat are in a great position to challenge for the championship and potentially claim take the crown this time around.
